How to use Searching Feature in Outlook

A personal information manager from Microsoft, named Microsoft Outlook is primarily an email client. It also includes functions like calendaring, contact managing, task managing, journal logging, note-taking, and web browsing. It was earlier named Hotmail and founded by Sabeer Bhatia and Jack Smith.

In 1997, Hotmail was taken by Microsoft and renamed as Outlook, With the help of  Microsoft Exchange Server or SharePoint, individuals can use this service as a stand-alone application while organizations can use this service as a multi-user software. It has also brought in apps for many mobile platforms including both IOS and Android.

When beginning with outlook, it seems difficult to search for emails and other things. But not now, below mentioned are the tips for searching and finding exactly what you need. Let us get started with them:

Tip 1: Getting started:

Well, this is the most simple of all and it is easy for you to get it. You just have to type in the search box of Outlook and you will get whatever you are searching for.
You will find this search option in your inbox, at the top of the list of emails. Depending on the words you have entered, Outlook scans for the results both in email messages and attachments as well.
If this service ain't working in your mail, contact Hotmail customer service number.

Tip 2: Using the Drop Down and expanding your search in the Search Box:

You will find the drop-down option right at the right of the Search Box. Now, click on the dropdown and either narrow or expand the scope of your search and this is how you can choose where you want Outlook to look.

Tip 3: Ever used Search tab? See how to use it:

To display the Search tab, you have to tap on the Search Box. As soon as you tap on the search box, the Outlook changes its ribbon, and the search tab is shown.
Here you will see the Refine group. Tap on any of the options present in the Refine group. After doing so, the search box will be automatically filled by the Outlook and some search text will appear in front of you. As per your need, you can change the text in this search box.
